'BLUE BEARD'   2-00 

'BLUE  DENIM'

 

A dwarf bearded iris which attracts much comment when in flower on the demonstration beds. Large typical flag, of denim blue with dark blue and yellow markings on falls.  9 inches.

Creamy white standards, deep blue falls edged white and veined white from centre. Greeny white beard. 10 in.

‘CHERRY GARDENS’

 

Falls are deep purple with almost black veinings, golden striations in throat and a small cream beard. Standards plain mid lilac. 4 in.

A clump of this iris which has substantial flowers is most attractive. Olive blue standards, golden purple fused falls with grey-blue beard. 10 in.

'JASPER GEM' 

A most unusual blend of colours being  almost marbled liver and cream on standards. The falls a dull rusty colour highlighted with golden veins. 6 in.

'KNICK KNACK’

Small rhizomes, comparatively broad foliage with 3 inch off white, mauve veined flags in April. Soon makes a sizeable clump

‘LADY R’

Neat flower, on 6 in. stem, primrose yellow standards and falls, set off  with a bright blue beard.

‘LITTLE DANDY’ 

 

Rich mottled creams and golden browns. Falls are golden at the base with heavy bronze veining developing to bronze with small muted purple splashes and a golden beard. Standards are purple based fading to creamy gold. 8 in.

Purple stitching on off white standards and falls with a very fluffy white beard. 6 ins.

LUTESCENS 'CAMPBELLII' 

The large deep purple flower looks too big for the 2 inch stem that carries it, but a patch of them in full flower is some sight. Not as easy as some of the other small irises but worth every effort.

‘MELON HONEY’  AGM 

 

Canteloup melon flesh pink standards - falls are similar but paler with greeny white beard. 10 in.

One of the largest flowered pumilas that we grow, on 10 inch stems, attractive flags of yellow, strongly veined with brown.
